I created my collage papers using everything from paintbrushes to a fork to a spray bottle top. Cat instructed us to gather household objects, and I had fun treasure hunting around the house.
Other mediums used include: acrylic paint, modeling paste, iridescent medium, and Mod Podge. Recently, I started reading a book on color theory and mixing colors, which really came in handy for this project!
My papers included copy paper, tissue paper, and even pages out of a book (purchased specifically for this purpose—and it took everything for me to tear those pages out and paint them!).
I had so much fun playing and experimenting with this! I turned on my “Feeling Creative” playlist and went in. Along the way, there were a few pages I didn’t love, but over all, they turned out great. Because I used a small notebook (one I made this summer), I opted for a smaller spread instead of the 3 x 3 from the lessons.
